
David Bright M.D. is a Senior Financial Advisor for Gold Medal Waters. He now holds his Series 65 registration.
Prior to Gold Medal Waters, David used his lifelong interest in the financial markets to start an investment group of doctors. He is passionate about helping people develop a rational long-term investment strategy and a healthy relationship with money because he believes that fiscal health contributes to physical and emotional health. David’s financial philosophy emphasizes asset allocation and diversification using high-quality low-cost mutual funds.
A native of Baltimore, Dr. Bright earned his B.A. from Duke and his M.D. from the University of Maryland and focused his medical career on Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, and Hyberbaric Medicine. An expert on integrating and implementing electronic medical information systems, he was a national speaker in medical informatics and an EMR implementation consultant with the Florida DOQ-IT program. He is currently licensed in the state of Colorado as an Investment Adviser Representative and is pursuing further training in asset management.
Dr. Bright and his wife, Avril, a yogini, have two sons: Adam is a writer in New York City and Steven is a premed student in Florida. His recent volunteer work includes Volunteers in Medicine & Hibiscus House for Children, Karma Krew, Boulder County Library, Labyrinth Project, and Airworks-Environmental Art in Boulder. He also served as vice president of FPA-LDIC (Florida Physician’s Association Legal Defense Insurance Corporation). He has traveled extensively and enjoys a range of activities including yoga, meditation, wellness medicine, fishing, cycling, hiking, tennis, and sailing.
