We have designed a series of meetings to learn about your unique financial needs and then work towards your goals. The specific reasons that brought you here will be addressed first. From that point, we can explore other aspects of your financial life. Our firm offers a systematic approach to crafting a customized plan for each Client.
We begin by asking the right questions and listening to you. Getting to know you better and understanding your financial goals is our top priority. We gather information on all of your current assets, take an inventory of insurance coverage, wills and any estate documents, and review your tax returns. This allows us to develop an Investment Plan and initiate the Wealth Management process. In addition, we find it equally important that you understand the goals of our firm. By clearly explaining our Wealth Management service, you will understand our values, our responsibilities, our compensation, and our investment and firm philosophies.
Using information gathered at the Discovery Meeting, our Advisors integrate your personal and investment goals and risk tolerance to develop an Investment Plan tailored to fit your unique needs. As a team, we will mutually define your goals, understand your time frame for results, and discuss how you feel about risk. At Gold Medal Waters, we strive to ensure that you understand our suggestions so that you are an active part of your financial team. We also discuss your specific asset allocation, current investments and corresponding Investment Policy Statement – essentially the outline for your Investment Plan.
Now it is time for us to commit to working together to move you towards your goals. At the Mutual Commitment Meeting, we present our Wealth Management Agreement and review our Engagement Standards to ensure that the roles and responsibilities for both the Advisor and Client are clearly delineated. We complete the necessary application and transfer forms with you to ensure that this is a stress-free task. Your Advisor will also explain, how efficient portfolios are constructed and what goes into asset allocation decisions. You deserve to understand the decision process your Advisor will go through when making important financial decisions to help you reach your goals.
The 45-Day Follow-up Meeting is scheduled to ensure that the transition to Gold Medal Waters has been a smooth one. The start of any financial relationship generates lots of paperwork. At this meeting, we help you navigate through this information and get organized as well as answering any questions you might have. In the meantime, we will begin the Advanced Planning process in which we examine all areas of Wealth Management that apply to you. Your Advisor will be with you every step of the way. At Gold Medal Waters we work hard and thoroughly enjoy what we do, and we are dedicated to providing you with the most effective Wealth Management.
At the Advanced Planning Meeting, our Advisors will formalize your Wealth Management Plan. This includes an evaluation of whether the goals articulated on the goals list are achievable within a reasonable time frame. You should leave with a clear idea of your current financial picture and the steps you must take to reach your financial goals. The end result is a Wealth Management Plan that is specific to you and addresses both intangible and tangible goals. It seeks to strike a balance between the financial choices you make that consume capital and the value-based goals you wish to achieve that have everything to do with creating a satisfying life.
Each year, we come back to your goals and see what adjustments, if any need to be made to the financial analyses, the financial plan and the action items for the coming year. Have any internal family or business events occurred that might trigger changes in your financial goals? Based on reasonable projections, are you on track to achieve your goals? Can anything be done to decrease the risks associated with accomplishing your goals? We revisit the Wealth Management analyses and proposals, adjust recommendations where appropriate, and set an action plan for the coming year. We will be there for you...not just at the beginning of this journey, but along the way.
