Financial Planning Basics.
The Financial Planning process is an essential part of our Wealth Management service. This process provides a guide for meeting your life goals through the proper management of your finances.
It consists of six phases that help you take a broad look at where you are financially - where you are now, where you may want to go in the future and what you must do to get there. The process examines your current situation and incorporates a plan for how you can meet your future goals.
During this process, our advisors provide direction and meaning to your financial decisions - thereby allowing you to understand how each financial decision you make affects other areas of your life.
Retirement Planning
It's never too early or too late to start planning. The strategies that you put into place now can make a big difference in how comfortable you will be in retirement. And, today, retirement means living longer and enjoying your wealth longer.
While the next stage may be full of wonderful and exciting adventures, it brings with it a certain level of complexity and uncertainty. Retirement Planning addresses this complexity and uncertainty. It seeks to answer the questions "When will you reach your dreams and goals?" and "Will your savings be enough to live as comfortably as you would like?"

Unique Investments
Gold Medal Waters is one of the select few firms in the nation able to provide investors with with access to the Dimensional Fund Advisors' (DFA) institutional mutual funds. To access their funds, DFA requires a minimum investment of $2,000,000 per holding. This requirement has been waived for our clients.
Investment Planning
A major part of the Financial Planning process is the creation of an appropriate asset allocation. Asset allocation is a term used to refer to how an investor distributes his investments among various classes of investment vehicles (e.g., stocks and bonds). This investment design should be based upon the investor's capacity for taking risk and involves taking the risk preferences, tax situations, and lifetime objectives of each client into account.
Our objective is to help investors develop customized portfolio solutions aimed at managing risk and cost. Clients entrust us to help direct their long-term funds, typically those earmarked for capital preservation and growth.
Insurance Planning
It is important that you know how to plan for unexpected events that impact your goals and how you might provide for your dependents in such a situation.
Our advisors do not sell insurance. Instead, we evaluate our client's risks and advise them on what risks they should consider covering such as Survivor Protection, Asset Protection, and Estate Protection. We also help evaluate your insurance agents and brokers and can guide you as you proceed to cover your risks.
Our advisors help you to understand the tax rules and coordinate your charitable giving strategy with your financial plan. Working in this manner often leads to strategies that provide for larger gifts to charity and greater tax savings for the donor.
