Both Load and No-Load data provided by Morningstar, Inc. (Avg. of median data from Equity: US Large, Mid, Small. Foreign Large, Small. Fixed: Long, Int., Short)*Transaction Fees - based on full service commissions/loads of 5% (paid over 5 years at 1% per year) or DIY dicount mutual fund transaction charges of $50/transaction for 40 transactions.
*Personal Time Management Fees - calculated based upon the following time assumption: You value your time at $100/hour and you spend at least 40 hours per year reading, planning, and implementing your own system, but only three hours of your time is used if you work with someone else. *Advisory Fees - as reported by Financial Planning Magazine, "New Survey: AUM Fees Rose in 2006," August 1, 2007.
